Anna Gunn

Anna Gunn, an American actress. Her most well-known role was Skyler in AMC's Breaking Bad drama, and she was the recipient of the Primetime Emmy Award Outstanding Supporting Female Actress in Drama Series 2013 and 2014. She has also appeared as Martha Bullock in Deadwood and Jean Ward on The Practice. Anna Gunn was born in Sante Fe New Mexico, in 1968. The actress fell in love with acting at Preparatory school after which she moved to Ohio with her family in the mid-70s. Her studies in theatre was through Northwestern University. A semester was completed at the British American Drama Academy. Anna worked in the theatre in the Chicago area for a few years before trying her hand at television and film roles. Anna got her big break in the year 1992, when she portrayed Arden in 29 episodes of Down the Shore. In the early 90s she appeared as a regular guest in TV and film, such as Seinfeld or NYPD Blue. Martha Bullock, a character she played for two years during Deadwood's 2nd season. Skyler was the character she played on Breaking Bad. Sully was one of her characters. Gunn was on stage to star in David Schwimmer's Sex With Strangers. In 2022, Gunn also was a part of a four-part audio-play series named "Numbered Days". Breaking Bad is often centered around the relationship between Walter White with his wife Skyler. Their strained bond and eventual end resembles the final years in Walter White's story.
